BELIEF IS AN AMAZING THING.............

Life is a journey with crest and trough, upheavel and downfall, but it does not end until life goes. We do not only travel the physical world and want to reach a destination but also travel within ourselves to reach the summit within. This is what lies beyond our five senses. To start a journey of life does not mean touring places but experiencing things, learning, understanding and developing a sense of satisfaction for whatever we have or get. Books do help a lot in reaching the summit within but they can never teach you as much as experiences do. Dreams and imagination are a key component to the lessons we get in life because nothing ever happens exactly the way we want and this is how we come to differentiate between the reality and virtuality....................................................... superstitions still prevail......and thousands are undergoing this torture

Me and my husband live in Potherikancham village. This is not our own village. Years ago we lived in Tharumba village of Guhar district. We were thrown out of the village because my husband accidentally ran his truck over a cow in the night when he was returning home after 18 hours of continuous driving. Cows are considered as mothers according to hinduism so no one forgave him when he asked for forgiveness. The panchayat called him a shame for hinduism and drunkyard whose senses were all asleep while driving. Listening to all this was not enough, they asked us to call a priest and worship the soul of the cow for its departure in peace,feed the beggars for seven days, donate grains and clothing to the priest,fast till the prayers and offerings to the cows soul is over and then feed the villagers eleven days after the worship. My husband was not a man of millions that it would cost us nothing. It was too much but there was no choice. We sold the small plot of land we had but it did
